Much of the information will be found on external web pages-- you should recognize that the advice there (and here, for that matter) is just that-- advice, some of which will be good, and some of which...<br> There are no guarantees when applying for fellowships-- except that if you do not apply, you can not win one. Most of the information is consistent, but some reflects subjective opinions-- pay attention to the source in weighing the advice. == Successful Fellowship Essays == A number of your student colleagues have graciously allowed us to post their winning fellowship essays, and in many cases the review comments. We are presenting these to give you ideas for how to compose your applications-- please remember that these are the intellectual property of the authors, and you should use them as inspiration but not as templates.<br> If you have previously applied for the NSF fellowship, you should be able to access your critiques through fastlane. While brief, they may provide some insights to help you improve your resubmission.
